Comment by Chris Nawara on January 7, 2012 at 12:30pm For the burger parts I put down a solid layer of the "main/ base" color, and then let that dry completely. Then I put another layer of that same color down and while it's wet, blend in the other colors I want to mix in. Then while those blend colors are still wet i come back with the "main" color and push the blends back and forth into the main one until I get an effect I'm happy with.
In the case of the "firey" burger text, it's more of a hatching/ stippling, - those are laid down and completely dried before coming back in with the next layer/ effect.
Thanks for the compliments!

Thanks for the education! So, you don't mind that the nibs get cross colored?
Cynthia
Literally, looks good enough to eat. But I like my burgers in 3D...and without PEANUT BUTTER.
Comment by Chris Nawara on January 9, 2012 at 11:13am np cynthia, when the tips get the other colors on them you just gotta run them on a clean piece of paper (immediately after blending) over a couple times till they are clean of the other color. The only thing that never gets truly clean is white so i keep a lot of those on hand.
thanks, sean, and that burger sounds sick to me too but jason says its surprisingly good. and how much worse could it be than bacon beer? or bacon chocolate. or bacon gelato. (which is awesome)
Comment by Ian Christian on January 10, 2012 at 10:04am the idea of bacon gelato just made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.
the firey burger text is outstanding! couldnt have been done better with a computer!
A bacon gelato burger would REALLY hit the spot.
