Comment by Lydia Martin on February 6, 2012 at 3:34pm awesome! how long does something like this usually take you?

Comment by Tegan on February 12, 2012 at 11:41am This probably took me two days. This is from my old store, North Wales, PA, and I was hired just as a chalkboard artist. For a while I had a lot of time on my hands!
It's not all chalk markers. It is started with a sort of white "underpainting" under the brightest areas, like the pineapple pieces and the shines, then I did the rest with regular chalk pastel.
Comment by Taylor on February 16, 2012 at 12:12am When you say regular chalk pastel, is this NuPastel? or truly "regular" chalk pastel. Also, out of curiosity, did the employer purchase the pastels, or did you use your own?
Comment by Tegan on February 16, 2012 at 7:12am It was probably a cheap cheapie "craft store" chalk pastel. And yes, the employer buys all my supplies :) Even super cheapie ones. lol. They love those.
